A luxurious hand-printed linen tablecloth. The Trees with Fruit design originates from trees in an orchard with their compact leafy crowns. I have been making this design in one form or another since childhood but it is the first time I have transferred it to a screen-print.
A beautiful tablecloth is an investment, often something that is handed down through the generations, particularly if it is one with a known provenance. I print these striking tablecloths in Somerset, cutting and sewing the linen, making each one individually. They make unique gifts with designs of scenes, foliage, trees or birds found locally.
Linen is expensive, however, it is a long lasting and enduring fabric, becoming more beautiful with age and use, and it is one of the most naturally produced textiles we can use.
This contemporary design is hand-printed using environmentally friendly inks and the image is screen-printed onto a pure, soft and weighty linen and can be washed at 30 degrees.
