TESTIMONIALS
We had an amazing time when we went on our screen workshop with Kate. From the outset, Kate sent comprehensive and clear instructions for the preparation for our day. She was helpful and carefully answered our questions on design preparation. On the day itself we couldn’t have asked for a better tutor. Kate gave insightful thought and consideration to our - very different- designs and carefully guided us. We easily could have gone off track as we were so excited about the process ! Personally I achieved more than I had imagined within the time. The finished result was beyond my expectations and, better still, I know how to re- create more of these designs at home now! I cannot wait. I highly recommend these workshops, the tutor, the setting and the process. Can’t wait to come for a return visit! Hannah
I just wanted to thank you so much for yesterday's excellent screen printing workshop. I enjoyed every stage and you are a brilliant teacher... It was the perfect way to start half term and I'm really keen to carry on printing. Annie
I wanted to write to thank you for our fabulous workshop on Saturday . We thoroughly enjoyed, and surprised, ourselves as we came away with our masterpieces. You were so kind to us and very generous with your time. Debbie
The workshop was beyond my expectations! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have no further comments except that I only wish I could have spent a weekend with you. You were so generous with your time and so patient. I hope to join you again for another workshop this year. I am loving the tea towel. Barbara
Just to say that we really enjoyed our screen printing lesson on Monday, it was great fun and we each took a lovely tea towel away to show off.
Thanks again. Anna

KATE WESTCOTT - BACKGROUND IN SCREEN-PRINTING
I first learnt to screen-print at school. The method was simple and I was captivated with the concept of being able to reproduce a design on fabric or paper. I experimented with printing in different colours and working with more than one screen. I loved being able to create another larger design through repeating one print in different layouts. After moving house and building a studio, I returned to screen printing 12 years ago. I experience the same joy printing today, as I did with the print of my first design. I print on linen, cotton and paper; I experiment constantly with colours and different designs, and try and bring my printed designs into our home as much as I can. |
